The Enterprise Development Group (EDG) of Washington, D.C., and the Economic and Community Development Institute (ECDI) of Columbus, OH, were selected to participate in the 2011 Academy for Green Microenterprise Development. Both organizations are Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFI) providing loans and business development services to low income business owners.
The Academy for Green Microenterprise Development will be helping EDG and ECDI design and develop their green business loan and assistance programs. Both identified green business opportunities and practices as vital to the success of their small business clients.
