The Atlanta Falcons Youth Foundation (AFYF) announced today it has awarded $421,000 to three nonprofit organizations using innovative approaches to increase access to affordable, healthy food for Georgia families.

“The Good Samaritan Health Center and HEALing Community Center are using creative medical practices to connect more families to Georgia-grown fruits and vegetables,” said John Bare, vice president of The Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation, of which AFYF is an affiliated fund. “Access to Capital for Entrepreneurs is delivering technical and financial assistance to small businesses focusing on healthy food.”

A two-year, $100,000 grant to Access to Capital for Entrepreneurs (ACE) will generate at least $750,000 in lending to small businesses seeking to create or expand healthy food access.
