The United Nations defines a green job as one that preserves or improves the environment. A succinct yet broad definition that perfectly describes the purpose of Georgia Green Loans. In 2009, the first year of operation, Georgia Green Loans provided capital to 16 businesses who created or retained 79 jobs.

Our customers included an organic farm, solar installers, a commercial plumber, manufacturers of doors and diapers, alternative transport, and the composting of animal waste. All, in their way, are helping Georgia’s environment improve. Fewer diapers in the landfill, reduced use of fossil fuels, energy savings…the list goes on. It adds up to a big impact on our economy–and our environment.  One small business at a time.
