Starting in the fashion industry, Kinnebrew initially created pocket-square holders for himself. When his wife saw the potential, they expanded to selling them online and in local shops in 2018. Things were going well, until a patent roadblock changed everything. Determined not to be deterred, he recognized a gap in the market for high-quality, custom suits in Atlanta, where choices were limited.
Following a lay-off in 2017 in his corporate role, Kinnebrew took a pivot in his business and rebranded in 2018, ready to redefine the suit industry. Embracing the “old world” approach to tailoring, Bespokuture was born. However, it wasn’t without its challenges.
In 2021, Omar sought funding for a new location. Commercial lenders couldn’t quite grasp the leap from a smaller space to a property worth $1.9 million. Fast forward to 2022, and a new opportunity emerged and Kinnebrew found a commercial spot on Main Street, Hapeville.
