As football season gears up this fall, get into the spirit with Game Day ruffles, garments, and other accessories at Bear Cub Gifts in Dahlonega.
“We have gifts and specialty items for everyone, but we have an emphasis on women, newborns, and children,” says owner Gail Buckner. “Our University of Georgia items are one of our best-selling lines. We are delighted to offer these particular garments because they are made in Georgia, and we sell several other lines that are made by local citizens.”
The store’s former name was Swaddle Boutique, under the parent company Southern Crescent Marketing.
“ACE helped us establish Bear Cub Gifts as a stand designed retail business,” she says. “Since then, we have moved to a new, larger location that has better visibility and floor space on Main Street. By expanding our inventory, Bear Cub Gifts has a better assortment of gifts that can appeal to more shoppers that are looking for the ‘Dahlonega experience.’”
Bear Cub Gifts is handling the uptick in business with four employees.
“Another step in our expansion will be an e-commerce web-site, and we know we can look to ACE for tips and guidance on that,” Buckner says. “We constantly hear our customers look at our merchandise and say, ‘this is so adorable,’ so I guess that we are!”
