Len Foote Hike Inn is thrilled to announce they recently achieved LEED certification at the Platinum level from the U.S. Green Building Council. LEED Platinum certification represents a major sustainability milestone for the Hike Inn as it continues on its journey of environmental protection and awareness.
The Len Foote Hike Inn came to ACE in 2017 for funds to purchase and install a Solar Photovoltaic System. Sandy Headley, ACE Vice President, was able to help them obtain a low interest loan through our Save & Sustain program. Over the years, the Inn has added substantially to their solar energy systems.
The Hike Inn is owned by the Georgia Department of Natural Resources States Parks Division and operated by the nonprofit Len Foote Hike Inn, Inc. It opened in the fall of 1998 and serves about 9,000 guests per year.
