ACE hosted a reception on Wednesday, February 23 to announce the opening of ACE’s Atlanta satellite office and a community partnership with the Women’s Entrepreneurial Opportunity Project, Inc. (WEOP).  WEOP is an organization committed to the economic advancement of women promoting entrepreneurship and professional development opportunities.  The partnership provides ACE an opportunity to work in the heart of the community located near the NPU-V area (Pittsburgh, Mechanicsville, Adair Park, Summerhill, Peoplestown, and Capital View neighborhoods). Vonda Echols, ACE Director of Community Outreach and Business Lending, is available to meet and work with clients at the WEOP location. The partnership will provide ACE clients with access to business workshops, technical support and loan opportunities.  Contact Vonda at echols@aceloans.org.

Fox5’s reporter, Dana Fowle, was also on hand to interview Kietra Bates, ACE client and owner of Marddy’s Kitchen, and Sandy Headley, ACE Vice President.  Kietra spoke of using her new business venture to bring the Westside community together, providing a space for local entrepreneurs to prepare and market their products.  Sandy Headley explained that ACE is able to provide the capital, coaching and connections to help small start-ups just like Marddy’s Kitchen be successful. The interview aired on Good Day Atlanta and can be seen HERE.
