A Love for Baking. Guadalupe Quaranta, is an immigrant from Venezuela. She founded and owns Cakes Designer Boutique & Academy. Born in Caracas, Venezuela, Guadalupe has been based in Atlanta for over nine years and has 22 years of experience in the baking industry. Although passionate about her work, her true passion is teaching. In 2015, Guadalupe started her journey as an educator and created Cakes Designer Boutique Academy LLC. As an Academy the company offers several workshops and classes in different culinary areas, with flexible schedules for all students. As a cake designer, the company offers and designs the most beautiful, original, and incredible custom cakes for various occasions like weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, baptisms, baby showers, and more.
Business Expansion and Support. ACE was the place for Guadalupe. Thanks to the continued support from the ACE metro Atlanta Women’s Business Center (WBC), she learned about resources like Business Advisory Services (BAS) and was able to receive a $130,000 loan in 2022. This allowed her to move into a bigger kitchen, buy equipment, and develop a marketing strategy.
