Located in Cumming, Georgia, Music Authority has been the cornerstone of the North Georgia music scene for over a decade, and has been recognized as the Best of Forsyth Music Stores in 2016 and one of the Top 100 Music Stores in the World for 2015 and 2016. They have built their amazing reputation for excellent customer service, an incredible selection of instruments and gear at low prices, not to mention the in-house repair shop that can take care of most any instrument service need. They’ve listened to customers and added additional activities such as open mics, student and adult jam nights, students concerts on a monthly basis, various workshops and Rock Camps throughout the summer. Together these programs have built a lessons program that sees over 500 students weekly.
“When we treat our students’ right, they turn into customers. When we treat our customers’ right, they become family,“ stated Melissa Loggins, owner.
Melissa and her husband, Andrew, were referred to ACE by Georgia State’s business support program and by Community and Southern Bank. ACE’s loan allowed them to build out an expansion with six new studios, a performance venue known as The Backroom, and a student area along with working capital. Melissa has benefitted from her relationship with ACE, not only from the access to capital, but the coaching and business connections have helped her develop new ideas and see things from different perspectives. She feels like these new perspectives have driven an increase in business at Music Authority. She adds, “For me, ACE is a company that cares about its customers. They go above and beyond to help us be better business owners, community partners, employers, and healthier human beings.”
