Kris Hale is the founder of Dope Pieces LCC, a brand that celebrates and affirms diversity through art and puzzles. An avid puzzler since the age of five, Kris shared her love for this pastime with many friends and relatives. However, she always struggled to find images that reflected diverse experiences and cultures. As her passion for puzzles and art grew, she noticed a lack of representation in the puzzle industry, despite consumers spending millions each year. Determined to address this gap, Kris founded Dope Pieces. Her goal was to use puzzles as a vehicle to connect artists needing more visibility for their work with a community seeking more representative puzzles. Thus, Dope Pieces was born.
Business Support. As a business owner, Hale approached ACE for support, seeking not only a small loan but also Business Advisory Services (BAS) to assist with marketing, scaling her company; and diversifying and re-envisioning her products.
Thinking Outside the Box. Hale hopes that her company will play a key role in a new Arts Renaissance, driven by a global cultural shift focused on economic empowerment.
