Over 50 Metro Atlanta entrepreneurs had the chance to increase their business acumen by attending ACE’s Annual Speed Coaching event held last Thursday, August 24th. Nearly 48 business and financial experts from the Atlanta area volunteered as coaches and offered their experience and insights to the small-business owners looking for guidance.
Sue Tocher, MS, RDN, founder of Nourishing Notions LLC said she walked away with a clearer vision of what I need to do next or her business. “As my first ACE and Women’s Business Center event, the Speed Coaching exceeded my expectations,” she continued. “The coaches were so knowledgeable and generous with sharing (their expertise).” Another participant added, “It may have been my first time, but it definitely won’t be my last!”
“I cannot believe all the practical info I received in just 30 minutes!” said Dr. Lisa Sistrunk, Ed.D., owner of DH Elevation Consulting. “Added bonuses were that I got to connect with some former colleagues, and meet experts who led some of the webinars and free consultations ACE offers. ACE continues to add great value to me personally and professionally!”
“…It was so loud!” said Jamine Moton, owner of Skylar Security, when she attended a previous speed coaching event. ACE Women’s Business Center Director and organizer of the event, Sandra Font “kept ringing the bell to transition the segments and no one got quiet. Why? Because, the energy in the room was like lightning. Electrifying!”
This was ACE’s eighth year hosting it’s signature speed coaching event. Business owners come to Atlanta from all over to attend the fun, high-energy and informative evening, a truly one-of-a-kind interactive event. Speed coaching enables each registered business owner to meet one-on-one with at least three successful business leaders and expert coaches in 30-minute increments to discuss strategies and solutions for their businesses. “There’s an indescribable energy and enthusiasm that comes from participating in the Speed Coaching Event,” shared returning coach Katherine Morales, APR of Inflection Point Communications LLC. “There’s nothing like interacting with a room full of passionate entrepreneurs dedicated to building their dream.” ACE Board Member and founder of IntegriVest Wealth Advisors, Sibyl Slade, CRPC said “I am always amazed at the caliber of business owners who show up for the speed coaching event ready to take their business to the next level.”
Intended for both seasoned and startup small-business owners, the event’s coaching topics included business finances, business operations, marketing, sources of funding, sales strategy, startups and financial growth, as well as contracting and certification for women and entrepreneurs of color.
