The Atlanta Business Chronicle included ACE | Access to Capital for Entrepreneurs in a recent story about new local nonprofit leaders and their plans to balance the legacies and futures of their organizations. Martina Edwards will become the new president and CEO of ACE on January 1, succeeding Grace Covington Fricks who has been the face of the organization as its founder, president and CEO for more than two decades.

As ACE’s Chief of Strategic Partnerships for the last six years, Edwards has worked closely with Fricks to help shape the nonprofit’s strategic plan to loan $300 million in capital by 2027. The two share similar values and vision — “leading with integrity, plus doing what’s right for the staff and clients.”

“We are well on our way to meet our target of deploying 80% of that capital to underserved populations, including 45% of loans to women-owned businesses,” said Edwards. “To meet these ambitious goals, we will continue to invest in our team and our organization’s infrastructure to effectively drive toward our vision and mission.”
