(Atlanta, Georgia. February 27, 2025) – ACE | Access to Capital for Entrepreneurs was recently featured on the Atlanta News First show ATL Live. ACE Chief of Business Advisory Services, Ray Pennie, and ACE client, Amia Mize of Takes A Village Transportation, discussed how ACE is helping entrepreneurs access capital and grow their businesses.

Mize’s business provides safe and affordable transportation to children and their families to and from school and extracurricular activities around the metro Atlanta area. She was inspired to start her business when she was picking up her children from school and another child asked me if she was his Uber. Mize recalls that it was “a scary moment because I realized anyone could show up pretending to be an Uber, and the child would get in the car. I had this vision that families with children need safe, reliable transportation.”

We’re excited to share ACE’s mission, our impact on small businesses, and how ACE funding helped Amia grow her company. Check out the full interview HERE.
