ACE | Access to Capital for Entrepreneurs, through its Women’s Business Center (WBC) in Savannah, proudly announces the successful graduation of 20 women entrepreneurs from the GoGAL Program—a collaborative initiative with Step Up Savannah, Inc. and Start Up Savannah. The GoGAL Program demonstrates a strong commitment to empowering underrepresented women through entrepreneurship by equipping them with the tools, training, and support needed to build and sustain successful businesses.

Participants received comprehensive business training, personalized planning support, and a $2,500 microgrant to launch or grow their businesses. This achievement marks a significant step toward advancing economic opportunity and supporting women-led enterprises in the Savannah community.

“This program represents a transformative opportunity for our community,” said Vernell Stewart, director of the ACE Women’s Business Center- Savannah Region. “By empowering single women who are heads of households to become business owners, we can create a ripple effect of socioeconomic resilience and demonstrate the power of entrepreneurship by enhancing economic mobility within low-wealth communities of color.”

The GoGAL Program directly supports ACE’s ongoing mission to build stronger, more inclusive economies across Georgia.

“The GoGAL program aligns perfectly with the WBC/ACE philosophy of ‘invest in one, impact many,” Stewart added. “We are thrilled to advance our mission of closing the gap in business ownership by providing entrepreneurs with the essential educational and financial support they need to successfully launch and sustain their businesses.”

We congratulate our graduates and thank the partners and supporters who helped bring this vision to life.
