Step 2

Enroll and Complete the “Starting A Business” Webinar

Watch the Steps to Start a Business training and learn about ACE, the three pillars of entrepreneurship, and how to legally establish your business.

Webinar length: 33 minutes

Step 3

Complete a Pre-Call with an AI Agent

Answer a few questions about your business idea to help us better understand your goals and needs. Click HERE to review the questions and prepare your answers before starting the call.

Estimated time: 6 to 10 minutes.

Step 4

Complete the 13-module course in Dreambuilder and submit a Business Plan.

Dreambuilder is an online business education platform for anyone who wants to start a business.

As you complete each course, you will answer questions about your business. After completing all 13 courses, you will be able to download a draft business plan that incorporates the responses you provided throughout the program. Once you have downloaded and completed your business plan, please submit it for review to acewbc@aceloans.org. After your business plan has been reviewed, you will move on to the next step: scheduling a one-on-one coaching session.

Each course can take between 30 minutes and 1 hour to complete. Already registered? Click here to login.

Please log in or register with the WBC to view this form.

Step 5

Schedule a 1:1 Session with an ACE WBC staff member.

We ask you to complete two steps before scheduling the 1:1 Session:

  • Identify the company’s NAICS Code(s). Click HERE and enter your type of business in the NAICS Code/Keyword Search box. Review the results and write down the NAICS code that best matches your primary business industry. This code will help classify your business.
  • Choose three potential business names for your company (these may be variations of the same name). Then click HERE to search existing business names with the Georgia Secretary of State. To ensure your desired name is available, conduct a business name search for each option you are considering for your Limited Liability Company (LLC). Be sure the name is not already registered with a “Status Active” designation, as active business names cannot be used by another entity. If your first choice is unavailable, you will have alternative names ready for registration.

Ready to schedule?

Appointments will be scheduled via Calendly and will last approximately 45 minutes. During the Zoom meeting, we will review your AI pre-call responses and business plan, and assist you with registering your business as a Limited Liability Company (LLC) with the Georgia Secretary of State. ACE Women’s Business Center will cover the LLC registration fee and remit payment directly to the Secretary of State on your behalf.

Step 6

Email the Certification of Organization to the ACE WBC staff once received.

Participants are required to notify ACE Women’s Business Center once they receive their Certificate of Organization from the Georgia Secretary of State. This documentation is needed for our program records and reporting purposes.

Please email a copy of your Certificate of Organization to acewbc@aceloans.org as soon as it is received. Thank you for helping us track the success of your business launch journey.
